hi everyone :)
It's been a while since I've posted anything here.. I've been researching a bit about blogging and how I should run this blog! Although I feel like I have a LONG way to go.. I thought as long as I've started it.. I should keep going!!
Today, I thought I'd do a quick review on the DERMABLEND foundations. Now, where I live it's been very hard to find the Vichy brand ones so I actually ended up getting the actual Dermablend Smooth Indulgence Foundation before I got to purchase the Vichy brand. For any of you who are having a hard time finding them in the US, their online store sells them as well as selected CVS stores! But!! it really is worth buying online since there are only four shades available in the Vichy brand.. so it's hard to get it in your exact color online or offline..
Enough rambling.. let's take a look!! :)

Vichy Dermablend Corrective Foundation in 25 Nude & 35 Sand |

 |
Left: 35 Sand / Right: 25 Nude |
The texture of this foundation, I would say, is between liquid and cream. From the first squeeze, you can tell it would give a very full coverage. Since this line doesn't come in a very wide range of colors, they do differ quite a bit from one shade to another.

Dermablend Smooth Indulgence Foundation in Wheat & Soft Beige |

Left: Wheat / Right: Soft Beige |
The consistency of Dermablend is pretty much the same as the Vichy (of course they are practically the same brand). However, the Dermablend itself comes in much more various shades. Although they are mostly the matter of whether it's a more warmer or cooler in shade rather than it being darker or lighter.

Right Two: Vichy Dermablend Corrective Foundation

Although the tube for the Vichy brand seems bigger, the amount of content is the same: 1 fl.oz! so packaging wise.. Dermablend brand would be more environmental! :)
The difference in price is $0.50!!! so there isn't that much of a price difference. Both websites don't ship internationally and I'm not sure about other countries, but Vichy Korea doesn't carry them either.. so it you are somewhere outside the states, you'll have to see if it's sold in your country.
Now, both brands come with a sponge applicator, but I would rather use a brush to apply. I personally like to use Sigma round top kabuki brush. Sometimes for a little less coverage, I mix it with MAC strobe cream and apply with a damp brush. But, LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY with this product!! Which makes it seem less pricey, which is always a good thing :)
PROS:
* GREAT coverage: need less to no concealer after foundation
* Little goes a LONG way, so a tube lasts a long time till you need to repurchase
* Very easy to blend
* Very long lasting, for me, it lasted a full day without having to retouch!
* Full coverage without having to look like I put a thick layer on
CONS:
* NONE :)
All in all, I am in LOVE with the dermablend brand itself! so.. to sum up!
Price: 4/5 (Dermablend$30, Vichy$29.50)
Product: 5/5
Coverage: 5/5
Shades: 4/5
Repurchase? YES :D
Thanks for reading!! have a good one :)
